2018 PROJECTS

2018: A Year of Growth

Eleos Ministries was founded in 2018 under the name "Where We Begin." This year we found ourselves trying to meet many needs all over the globe, and focusing specifically on a few special individuals who needed a lot of one-on-one active care. We are pleased to report that every young person we spent time pouring into in 2018 has made it into 2019 as healthier, happier individuals.

Here is a list of some things we accomplished in 2018, all because of God's power and provision:
  • $1400 awarded in scholarships and dorm necessities to homeless youth in Missouri and Texas
  • 130+ nights of shelter provided for homeless youth in Missouri and Texas
  • 450+ meals provided for homeless youth in Missouri and Texas
  • $600 of groceries delivered to former orphanage residents in northern Europe
  • 1 specialized ophthalmologist appointment for an orphan boy in Uganda
  • 250 Easter cards and bracelets sent to Latvia and Uganda in order to share the Gospel
  • 1 mission trip to Latvia to support former orphanage residents
  • 120+ hours of tutoring provided to a young man in Latvia (GED achieved!)
  • $1500 in rent assistance provided to enable students in Latvia
  • 20+ mentor relationships established between adult Christians and orphaned Ugandans
  • 15+ care packages purchased and mailed to at-risk young adults around the world
  • 500+ Christmas letters sent to Ugandan orphans
  • Christmas feast celebration provided for 500 Ugandan children
  • $20 Grocery store gift cards provided to at risk families in America

Eleos Ministries International Outreach is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity. All contributions designated for specific projects shall be applied to those projects, and we may assess up to 10 percent to be used for administering the gift. Occasionally, we receive more contributions for a given project than can be wisely applied to that project. When that happens, we use these funds to meet a similar pressing need.
